Dave Beck is a practicing 3D digital and new media artist and designer, living in Wisconsin.  He is the creator of the award-winning video game, Tombeaux, and also recipient of the 2010 International Science & Engineering Visualization Challenge Award, given by the National Science Foundation.  Beck’s artwork has been featured in publications such as the New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, National Geographic, the journal Science, and the book GameScenes: Art in the Age of Videogames.

When Dave Beck is not making interactive experiences, he is a Professor of Game Design and the Director and Associate Dean of the University of Wisconsin-Stout School of Art & Design, the largest higher education art and design program in the upper midwest. He is also the founding Director of the Game Design Bachelor of Fine Arts Program, which is ranked as one of the top game design programs in the country by the Princeton Review.
